If you want to see what kind of weather I'm experiencing at home in Hertford go here - http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/ee/hertford_forecast_weather.html

Maybe you can look up your own home town and add it to your web site favourites.

I heard Felix Dennis on the radio when driving to work one morning and liked it; so bought the book (and the CD).  Here's the poem that caught my imagination.  If you would like to listen to it, click here... if you do then remember to get back to this site by clicking on the back button in your browser.

The Summer of Love        Written by Felix Dennis, from Lone Wolf.  Published by Hutchinson.

We were clappy-happy, we were hippy-dippy -

We were building Eden by the Mississippi.

We were very certain, we were very sure,

We were very righteous, (and we were very poor),

And we scolded non-believers and we taunted the police,

And our women made us tea, while we puffed the pipes of peace

We were sappy-happy, we were hippy-trippy,

We were building Eden by the Mississippi.

We were dressed in satin,  army coats and beads,

And we sat cross-legged while we sorted stems and seeds,

And we swapped each others' lovers and our hair grew wild and woolly,

We were clappy-happy, we were hippy-dippy -

We were building Eden by the Mississippi.

And we lived in San Francisco, or else in Notting Hill,

And we made a lot of babies though our women took the pill,

And we played a lot of Zappa and Dylan and the 'Dead,

And we talked a lot - but mostly, I've forgotten what we said.
